A man escaped with only minor injuries after a plane crash in Grey Highlands over the weekend.
Grey Bruce OPP say just before 9 a.m. yesterday, officers were called to Grey Road 13, north of Eugenia, for a report of a plane crash.
The Grey Highlands Fire Department and Grey County paramedics were also on scene.
Police say a small plane described as a Piper A12 had been travelling westbound and attempted to land on a grass landing strip when it crashed into a fence and came to rest in a ditch.
OPP say the pilot was the only occupant in the plane. He was taken to hospital with minor injuries.
The Ministry of Natural Resources and Transport Safety Board of Canada have been notified of the plane crash.
Provincial Police say the Transport Safety Board of Canada is continuing the investigation of the incident.
